Ah, Mithril. Seems funny that the item that gets mined in the level 40 and higher zones get turned in for a blacksmithing quest in the level 30 Stranglethorn Vale. Or am I the only one wondering what’s going on?

Mithril is a highly sought after metal and ore. Minable at 175, there are a lot of things made from it. In addition, there’s a series of blacksmithing quests in Stranglethorn Vale that require mithril bars for turn in to get new patterns. So, both the ore (for smelting) and the bars (quests and crafting) are popular.
