Ah, Mithril. Seems funny that the item that gets mined in the level 40 and higher zones get turned in for a blacksmithing quest in the level 30 Stranglethorn Vale. Or am I the only one wondering what’s going on?

Mithril is a highly sought after metal and ore. Minable at 175, there are a lot of things made from it. In addition, there’s a series of blacksmithing quests in Stranglethorn Vale that require mithril bars for turn in to get new patterns. So, both the ore (for smelting) and the bars (quests and crafting) are popular.
I’ve been playing a long time, since the first day World of Warcraft launched publically. I run around with my panda, and before there was ever an expansion, I had 5 level 60s, and 3 were in all epic gear. I was a raider, and I’ve made the climb to 80 more than once. So, I know my way around Azeroth.

Are you a high level character looking to mine up Northrend Ores, and are too busy to go around farming up the materials you need? Maybe you have a sizable amount of gold, but time is better spent on Heroic or Dailies. Or maybe you want to skip the first 75 skill points because you took your professions on a little late and don’t want to spend all day in Elwynn or Durotar. Regardless, here’s a quick way to get those skillups.
